Happy Anniversary to Jose Toscano!
K&L Anodizing congratulates Jose Toscano (pictured in center) for being a part of the K&L team for more than 40 years. Jose started in 1974 as a tankman at the age of 22—his first full-time job—and today, Jose is a head production foreman for K&L. During the last 42 years, Jose has been responsible for lending his expertise in processing thousands of anodizing jobs for the aerospace industry.

K&L Sponsors NASF’s Bright Design Challenge
K&L Anodizing enters its seventh year of proudly sponsoring a surface finishing class at the Pasadena Art Center College of Design. Working together with the Southern California Metal Finishing Association and the National Metal Finishing Association (NASF), this class allows students to tour the factory and learn about all aspects of the industry. K&L Anodizing senior staff then work with students to create unique, one-of-a-kind consumer items utilizing an element of surface finishing. Yearly, $20,000 in scholarship funds is awarded to the winning projects, displayed and selected by an esteemed panel of judges. Many of the past students in this class work in the industry today on design projects that incorporate anodizing and other surface finishing processes.
